The automotive industry is facing the greatest transformation in a century. Beyond the era of hardware-centric vehicles, the SDV (Software-Defined Vehicle) era — where software determines the value of the vehicle — is now in full swing, and the AIDV (AI-Defined Vehicle) era, where AI sits at the center of development, is rapidly approaching.
At the heart of this change lies the explosive growth of complexity. A single vehicle now contains tens to hundreds of ECUs, each of which must comply with the international AUTOSAR standard. On top of that, ASPICE process certification and ISO 26262 functional safety certification are required, meaning ECU developers spend more time on standards compliance and documentation than on actual development. Hand-writing hundreds of pages of AUTOSAR design specifications and producing the vast V-Model artifacts required at every stage is the daily reality on the ground.
Since its founding in 2014, PopcornSAR has focused on AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform — the next-generation international standard for automotive software. We released the world's first Adaptive AUTOSAR development tool, passed the rigorous validation of global Tier-1 Denso, and delivered real projects together with Hyundai Mobis, LG Electronics, Toyota, and others. Building on this experience and expertise, we are now pioneering a new frontier: the fusion of AI and AUTOSAR.
