Tutorials
A tutorial builds one complete PAIO model from an empty workspace, screen by screen, so you can follow along in the product. The reference chapters in this public manual describe each editor on its own; a tutorial connects them in the order you actually work.
Available tutorials
| Tutorial | What it builds |
|---|---|
| PNC Design Tutorial | A zonal vehicle — one HPC, three zone ECUs and ten leaf ECUs — carrying three Partial Network Clusters, from the empty project through topology, NM, signals, services, SWCs, the PNC bindings, validation and the ARXML export. 14 chapters, 245 screenshots. |
| AA Design Tutorial | An Adaptive Platform design on its own HPC machine, independent of the PNC tutorial: five Adaptive Applications (Sensor, Fusion, Actuator, CM, EM), the service interface Sensor with its SOME/IP deployment and three service instances, the executables and processes with startup configuration, function group states and execution dependencies, the service instance mappings and DLT logging, through validation to the ARXML export. 13 chapters and an appendix, 139 screenshots. |
| Network Topology Design Tutorial | A small vehicle network built in the IVC editor: three ECU nodes (ECU, ZONE, SLAVE_ECU) and one HPC joined by a CAN-FD cluster, an Ethernet cluster with fixed IPv4 endpoints, VLAN 13 and a SOME/IP SD multicast address, and a LIN cluster with a master and a slave, plus the ECUs' power-management flags, through validation to the ARXML export. 7 chapters and an appendix, 85 screenshots. |
Where to read it
The tutorials are part of the login-required documentation. Sign in at autosar.io, open Download from the top menu, and follow the documentation link there. The tutorials open at PNC Design Tutorial, AA Design Tutorial and Network Topology Design Tutorial.
The login-required documentation carries the same editor reference chapters as this manual, plus the tutorials and the material that applies to a licensed installation.

Every chapter opens with what you will do and the state you start from, walks one representative element through the whole procedure, and gives the remaining values as a table so you can repeat them. Each chapter ends with a checklist of what the screen should look like.
