Notation Conventions
This manual uses the following notation conventions throughout.
This stylemarks file paths, extensions, code identifiers, enumeration values, and shortcut keys.- Bold text marks a label that actually appears in the UI. PAIO's UI strings are in English, so this manual quotes them verbatim instead of translating them. For example: Add ECU, Save All, Generate ECUC.
- Menu paths are joined with
▸. For example:Project ▸ Open Workspace.... - Shortcuts follow Windows and Linux conventions. On macOS, read
CtrlasCmd. - A blockquote (>) marks a fact that needs your attention. It is used in particular for a label whose behavior differs from what it says and for an item that is present in the UI but does not work.
- Error messages are quoted exactly as the application prints them in English.
